Sabine A Mertes-Urbahn first came to the Dominican Republic on vacation in 1993. The country and its people appealed to her and she decided to spend a short while here in order to improve her Spanish. Sabine speaks 5 languages, having a Masters Degree in language from University Trier in Germany. It dawned on Sabine that she had found her new home in the Caribbean and after a few years learning the ropes, she started Select Caribbean Properties with a partner in 2001. She concentrated on the best, the most select listings available. Her understanding of all aspects of the local real estate business on the north coast of the DR is extensive, and she has listed and sold many fine properties in the years since. |
