The province of Maria Trinidad Sanchez is considered one of the most beautiful areas in the Dominican Republic, specifically the area of El Breton which is located in the municipality of Cabrera and also called Cabo Frances Viejo.

Other local beaches include Playa Precioso, El Diamante (Diamond Beach), Playa La Entrada, El Caleton de Dario (Orchid Bay Beach), El Caleton del Medio, and El Caleton Chiquito. Another interesting historical fact is offshore from Cabo Frances (El Breton) lays one of the most magnificent underwater wrecks in the Caribbean, the Spanish galleon Concepcion, which sank in 1641. It scattered in so many pieces across the 17 miles long reef that they have since been named the Silver Shoals.
